Designed for a wooded site with ledge outcroppings in Lyme, Connecticut, this 2000 square foot house strikes a balance between using higher quality materials, floor plan amenities and a tight budget. The house, currently under construction, is sited to take advantage of the dramatic views to the east (rear of the house). The first floor includes an open kitchen, dining and living area, an intimate study with fireplace and both a front and side/mudroom entrances. The second floor stair landing overlooks the two story dining area, and there is a compact master suite and two additional bedrooms with a shared bath. A detached garage has been designed for future construction. This project has qualified as an Energy Star® home.
